OVERVIEW Video VBOX from Racelogic is a high quality solid state video recorder combined with a GPS data logger and real-time graphics engine. [Download the DATA SHEET] GRAPHICS ENGINE Every aspect of Video VBOX has been designed to maximise the quality of the video and graphics. An extremely powerful 32bit 270MHz graphics processor is at the heart of the system, producing stunning 24bit colour graphics. The graphics are fully customisable, allowing you to choose from a number of standard dashboard styles or simply create your own from scratch. VIDEO QUALITY To produce the very best results, Video VBOX can encode at full DVD quality using an advanced MPEG-4 encoder chip. The picture-in-picture is done digitally inside Video VBOX, removing the need for an external picture-in-picture box which degrades the video. MPEG-4 was chosen as the primary encoding stream because it uses 3-4 times less space than the older MPEG-2 style format. Stereo sound is recorded as an MPEG-1 Layer II (MP2) audio format, which is the de-facto broadcast standard |
